The forecast was for some active skies overnight with the Northern Lights and with the clear skies the past few days it was a must to go and check them out

Well I think this image pretty much sums up an early August afternoon in Juneau

I also zoomed in to the holiday lights and played with the focus to get the above effect for the image

Afternoon at Sloans Lake Size:8"x10" The forecast was for someI headed to Sloans Lake for some afternoon light on a November afternoon. First stop was photographing the skyline across the lake with a steady breeze blowing. Prior to leaving the lake I checked out some other areas and found some tall grasses backlit blowing in the wind. Letting the sun wash out some of the scene I photographed these with a hint of the Rocky Mountains in the distance prior to the sun dropping behind the mountains to end another day
