National Automobile Museum Phantom Corsair Poster Hawaii Soon after becoming superintendent inDescription 14" x 22" poster Interpretive Copy When it was introduced to the public in 1938, the Phantom Corsair was one of the most futuristic cars ever seen. Rust Heinz designed the car, and with coachbuilder Maurice Schwartz, built a prototype costing roughly $24,000. Unfortunately, Heinz was killed in a car accident in 1939, ending the production of any future models. Today, the car is part of the National Automobile Museums permanent collection.
