The Gorge, that deep cleft between escarpments or cliffs, which have resulted from years of weathering and erosion, possibly carved out by a river. Wind and water combine to erode and cut away less resistant materials. Who knows how the passage of time has shaped this mass of rock, and yet there it remains, resilient and relatively permanent.
