This piece is the most challenging hollow form I have turned thus far due to the large number of voids in the wall of the vessel combined with the burl having grown around 4 different large rocks that I had to dig out and remove from the interior of the piece during the hollowing process

While the European Bison (Bison bonasus)is different from the American bison (Bison bison) they look very similar

WT #55, Vase from Russian Olive with Turquoise inlay three This piece is the mostVase from Russian Olive with Turquoise inlay, sanded to 3000 grit with lacquer finish. 13. 5 tall x 9 diameter. I love the wavy grain pattern in Russian Olive as well as the light colored precambrian layer just under the bark it creates such a nice contrast to the wood underneath.
