The resulting modified bases confer enhanced regional flexibility to tRNA. The encoded protein may increase the rate of translation by inhibiting an interferon induced protein kinase. DUS2 has been implicated in pulmonary carcinogenesis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described
