Brown Mountain Backdrop basket Once part of the workingA timber and corrugated iron dairy building stands on a ridge near Brown Mountain, its rust streaked walls leaning slightly as the frame settles. Brown Mountain rises behind it as a wall of eucalypt forest, blue grey in the haze. The building type was made essential by on farm cream separation in the 1880s and redundant by bulk milk collection in 1966. Part of The Dairy series.
