The body of the beaker is engraved, but the engraving is so worn that much of it cannot be made out. There is a monogram of PR just below the rim which is probably original, and there is a monogram of HS farther down that was added later. The beaker was made in the 1680s or 1690s, perhaps as late as the 1720s. It is probably Scandinavian or German in
