Celadon Year of the Rooster Okimono Waraku Kawasaki VII An oirenomi is a JapaneseThis listing is for a splendid celadon okimono made around 30 years ago for Tachikichi in Kyoto. It is made from a slip mould and moulded to resemble a Japanese long tailed onagadori rooster. The celadon glaze work is glossy in appearance, however the waffle and comb of the bird is finished with matte glaze. The bottom is covered with green felt to protect furniture and to hide the slip mould holes. This piece was most likely made to commemorate the
