The fabric is strong and it is a wonderfully constructed garment. This is a stunning robe that has a beautiful black velvet pattern on a silk chiffon base. This is layered over an interior cream silk base and the edges of the sleeves, collar and hem are then finished with wide panels of a fine silk. The silk is strong and the cut will fit a variety of sizes. It is really amazing to find
