The hat has a sculptural, asymmetrical shape with a curved front and is finished with black velvet trim and a flat velvet bow at the back. Wire inside the edge allows the shape to be adjusted slightly. A thin elastic strap helps to hold the hat in place. The black velvet band inside is attached to the hat at the ends only.
